Popular Korean pop-rock band DAY6 (photo) heads back to Manila for its latest and grandest tour to date. With its outstanding track record for performances around the world, DAY6 is set to make PH My Days’ hearts swell again. It was overwhelming to know how excited the boys are as they share their thoughts on their minialbum and Gravity Tour.

First of all, how does it feel that you’re heading back to Manila with your latest concert tour?

“We are so happy to see such great people again. Since they showed us such great energy, we are looking forward to it!”

DAY6 World Tour Gravity is your broadest tour to date considering the number of cities that you’ll be visiting throughout the tour, how does it feel to play to quite a lot of cities this time?

“Always humbled and grateful. We’re so lucky to meet amazing people, experience new things and try all different kinds of delicious food.”

Are there any special production aspects or perhaps any memorable moment from your Youth Tour that you would want to carry over to Gravity Tour? Was there also anything you observed from Youth Tour that you personally would like to be improved as you go on your latest tour?

“Definitely energy. But so far, I think it’s successful. Everyone has been surprising us with all kinds of ways to express their emotions.

“During our last tour, we felt the need for more concert-fueled music. So The Book of Us album contains more music and parts that expect the audience and My Days to sing along with us and vibe with us.”

You’re known and praised on how you personally create your songs, during the planning of your shows, are you also handson in the over-all production side? Up to what extent do you put your personal touches on the planning of your shows?

“Set list is something that we put a lot of effort into. Music is what we make and we think it has the most power to change up the atmosphere. This time, for the Gravity Tour, we chose songs to put the energy level to the highest, to jump up and down or sing along so the audience can let all the stress out and have a great time.”

You have released a mini-album title track Time of Our Life, were there any instances during this tour that you have felt that you’re having the time of your life? Please describe those moments for us.

“While I was watching the

sunset in San Francisco alone, listening to the sound of the waves, I felt like this chapter of my life as a DAY6 member, Young K is something that I’ll always appreciate and cherish.”

About the title of your concert tour Gravity, what kind of effect and impact do you envision it can create to the audience in the Philippines?

“Like the meaning of gravity, we are pulled to one another by some kind of energy. It is the beginning of a relationship between different people and it’s going to be such an amazing experience for both of us.

What do you want your fans to take away from your album The Book of Us: Gravity and the Gravity tour?

“We want them to feel happy. Not only at the concert but even when it’s over. We want them to leave all the stress and bad emotions at the concert and go back

home with only happiness and hope.”

What should Filipino fans look forward to DAY6’s Manila show?

“They should be ready to have fun. Wear your sneakers, and the most comfortable outfit to dance, jump or whatever you wanna do.”

Lastly, what is your message to your Filipino fans?

“As much as you guys are looking forward to the concert, we are also. By the time we get there, both of us should be ready to rock out and have the time of our lives!”

On Nov. 23 at 5:30 p.m. at the Araneta Coliseum, DAY6 will melt hearts and take all My Days on a musical journey like no other, presented by JYP Entertainment and PULP Live World. Tickets are still available on TicketNet outlets and online via www.ticketnet.com.ph.
