In preparation for the full implementation of the Universal Health Care (UHC) Law, it is crucial that we have a full picture of the health sector in the Philippines – in essence, what it has achieved through the years in ensuring the health every Filipino family, and the challenges and problems that remain to be addressed such as scarcity of resource and lack of health care professionals in various parts of the country.
