The Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines, Inc. (FINEX), the leading national organization of finance professionals and practitioners dedicated to the advancement of financial knowledge, expertise, and management and composed of close to 800 members, including the chief financial officers (CFO’s) of the country’s top corporations, is pleased to partner with ING N.V. (Manila) in presenting this year’s CFO of the Year Award.

The ING-FINEX CFO of the Year Award, which is now on its 13th year, is the most prestigious award given by FINEX annually. It is a result of a very rigorous search, selection, and judging process which is conducted over a period of approximately 6 months. A very substantial amount of time and resources have been invested in the search, selection, and judging process in order to ensure that the process is credible, fair, and independent. The most deserving individual is chosen for the award on the basis of clearly defined qualitative and quantitative criteria. Since 2014, the criteria used were those defined and determined by the FINEX Foundation, together with the Ateneo Graduate School of Business. The criteria gives equal weight to a CFO’s performance in his or her various roles – as a strategist, catalyst, operator, and steward. The CFO of the Year is chosen annually by his or her peers in the industry, which makes the award very prestigious and respected.

FINEX looks forward to continuing to annually honor and pay tribute to our country’s top CFOs in their ever changing role as partners of their respective chief executive officers in planning, strategizing, managing, and executing their respective corporation’s overall policies, plans, and programs.
