Mimiyuuuh’s guide to a powerful 2020
Do you have what it takes to face the next decade? Fret not, we've got some gifts in mind to help you navigate what's next.
This is it folks, it’s the end of the decade. As we look forward to a new one coming in just about a month, it’s best to arm yourself to make the most of it. I mean, the 2020s mark the point in your adult life when, typically, things start picking up (hopefully; if we’re in the same generation), but don’t worry — we’ve got just the right things to get you buckled up. And who better to present these than the
ghourl of the moment, possibly the icon of the next decade, Mimiyuuuh? It’s been a quick-fire rise for the social media darling — when I began following her earlier this year, she had around 50,000 followers; now, 10 times that at over 566,000. Armed with a seemingly relentless stream of brand partnerships, Mimi is moving on up.
However, Mimi admits she is still adjusting to her newfound popularity and line of work:
“Na-ooverwhelm pa rin ako,” she said about her
stratospheric rise. “Medyo naninibago pa rin, pero unti-unti namang nakaka-adapt sa bagong industriyang sinabak.” (Laughs)
Eventually (somewhere in the next decade), she wants to get back into building a fashion brand, something that she studied for at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. When asked about what she’s learned so far, she says simply but sincerely, “Always be thankful, kasi (pag) sobrang busy mo na, nakakalimutan mo na ‘yung mga blessings na dumarating sayo.” And her top tip for a powerful 2020? “Always put yourself first, hype yourself, practice ‘yung pagiging confident. And acknowledge your flaws, ganun, kasi that’s what makes you unique. Be you!”
Start with clarity
Not to make things too literal, but we believe the key to clarity in 2020 starts with, well, 2020 vision. Jins offers a complete experience that makes getting a new pair of prescription glasses as painless as possible. They’ve got in-store optometrists and an app that tells you if the frames look good on you, too — talk about a one-stop shop.
To help out with your new vision (and vision board), a planner is a must. The Everyday makes an undated planner that’s flexible, fuss-free, and helps you keep track of your expenses. Just as much as an overarching vision for yourself is important, an execution plan is just as significant.
