FRANCIS LIBIRAN DARES TO DREAM
Francis Libiran celebrates his 20th year in the industry in “Dare to Dream” on Dec. 2 at City of Dreams. Featuring KZ Tandingan, Erik Santos, Iñigo Pascual and Rachelle Ann Go. Libiran’s 2020 Collection, a 50-piece assemblage inspired by the natural wonders, culture and craftsmanship of the Philippines is hinged on Libiran’s mastery of layering.
Paying his 20-year success forward, Libiran has involved the young, bright-eyed students from his alma mater, the Fashion Institute of the Philippines, in the creation of the Francis Libiran 2020 Collection. He explains: “I wanted to spark inspiration in each student’s imagination, to find a hook in their hearts and minds so that they feel motivated in the challenging path of fashion they are pursuing.” Going beyond the textbooks and tutorials, Libiran personally mentored the students as they went about creating pieces for the collection.
