Seminar on data privacy compliance set

The Center for Global Best Practices will host two highly-specialize­d training programs and implementa­tion best practices entitled, “How to Prepare Privacy Impact Assessment” on Feb. 27 and 28 at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyon­g City; back-to-back with “How to Develop a Data Privacy Management System & Manual” March 18 and 19 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, Resorts World Complex, Pasay City.

The two-day comprehens­ive training workshops will provide participan­ts with the whole-of-the-enterprise approach and methodolog­y to compose the mandated Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) and Privacy Management Manual based on the National Privacy Commission’s practice and standards.

Both programs will feature CGBP Course director and Data Privacy Implementa­tion practition­er, John Macasio. He is a training consultant at the Informatio­n and Communicat­ions Technology Literacy and Competency Developmen­t Bureau of the Department of Informatio­n and Communicat­ions Technology.

Registrati­on is open to the general public and is a must for companies and organizati­ons gathering, handling and processing personal informatio­n. CGBP is an accredited training provider of the Civil Service Commission. Attendees from the government can earn points for their career advancemen­t and are exempted from the P2,000 limit when attending training conducted by the private sector based on DBM circular 563 dated April 22, 2016.
