Carlos ‘Totong’ Francisco II at Robinsons Galleria
In celebration of National Arts Month, Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) presents two major events: the formal launch of “ARTablado” (art + entablado) and the one-man exhibit of Angono’s pride, Carlo “Totong” Francisco II.
ARTablado is a platform for showcasing the ingenuity of Filipino artistry. Regular patrons of Robinsons Galleria will be able to experience not only paintings at ARTablado but other forms of art as well — from sculptures to the spoken word, among others.
“Revival” is a one-man exhibit by Carlos “Totong” Francisco II, the grandson of the renowned muralist and National Artist, Carlos “Botong” Francisco.” Totong has searched for his personal style and became deeply influenced by Abstract Expressionism. This will be Totong’s first solo exhibit since 2011.
“Revival” features artworks with subjects focusing on nature that speaks of life, hope, freedom, new beginnings, prosperity, love, and beauty. And for the first time, some of the most cherished art pieces — such as framed sketches of Botong Francisco — will be displayed in Robinsons Galleria to inspire succeeding generations of local artists.
“Revival” will run from Feb. 1 to 15 at the Level 3, Veranda of Robinsons Galleria.
