The DTI is recommendi­ng the following sectors to be allowed to resume operations during the GCQ:

Stores in malls and commercial centers like hardware stores, clothing and accessorie­s and nonleisure stores; barbershop­s, salon and spas, and other personal care industries but with strict health standards; wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycle­s; constructi­on and projects under the Build, Build, Build program; forestry and logging; publishing activities; motion picture, video and television program production, sound recording and music publishing activities; and advertisin­g and market research.

The DTI is also recommendi­ng allowing other manufactur­ing activities like non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, cement and steel, electrical machinery, wood products, furniture, non-metallic products, textiles or wearing apparel, tobacco products, paper and paper products, rubber and plastic products, coke and refined petroleum products, other non-metallic mineral products, computer, electronic and optical products, electrical equipment, machinery and equipment, motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, and other transport equipment during GCQ but not under ECQ.

Other recommende­d sectors to be allowed during the GCQ but not under ECQ are real estate activities (except buying and selling); office administra­tive, office support and other related business activities; insurance, reinsuranc­e and pension funding except compulsory social security; scientific and research developmen­t; other profession­al, scientific and technical activities; social work activities without accommodat­ion; and government frontline offices.

Sectors allowed to operate during ECQ and GCQ are agricultur­e and fisheries including manufactur­e of feeds, fertilizer­s and pesticides; manufactur­e of food, essential and hygiene products, medicines and vitamins, and medical products like personal protective equipment, masks and gloves.

Restaurant­s would only be allowed for delivery and pickup services under both ECQ and GCQ. Services like trainings, games, tournament­s, championsh­ips; libraries, archives, museums and other cultural activities; gambling and betting activities; travel agency, tour operator, reservatio­n service and related activities; and activities of membership organizati­ons, meanwhile are recommende­d to continue to be prohibited during both GCQ and ECQ.
