Sinas reshuffles 23 PNP officials

Philippine National Police chief Gen. Debold Sinas has enforced another major revamp affecting 23 PNP officials.

In an order signed on Sunday, Sinas designated Brigadier Generals Rolando Miranda, Ronnie Montejo and Ronaldo Ylagan as regional police directors of Western Visayas, Central Visayas and Zamboanga peninsula, respective­ly.

Brig. Gen. Leo Francisco of Central Luzon replaced Miranda as chief of the Manila Police District.

Montejo was replaced by Brig. Gen. Danilo Macerin of the Directorat­e for Operations as chief of the Quezon City Police District.

Brig. Gen. Eliseo Cruz of the Directorat­e for Plans took over Ylagan’s post as Northern Police District director.

Former Central Visayas police director Brig. Gen. Albert Ferro was designated head of the Directorat­e for Informatio­n and Communicat­ions Technology (DICT). Brig. Gen. Conrado Gongon Jr., of the Directorat­e for Integrated Police Operations (DIPO) in Western Mindanao, was assigned to the Communicat­ions and Electronic­s Service.

Brig. Gen. Ronald Olay and Col. Jose Hidalgo Jr. were named deputy director of the directorat­e for operations and acting executive officer of the Directorat­e for Integrated Police Operations in Western Mindanao, respective­ly.

Brig. Gen. Florencio Ortilla was appointed as deputy director for administra­tion of the National Capital Region Police Office. Brig. Gen. Antonio Yarra was named NCRPO deputy director for operations.

Brig. Gen. Rene Pamuspusan was installed as deputy director of the Directorat­e for Plans. Brig. Gen. Ronald Evangelist­a is the new director of the Police Regional Office 9.

Evangelist­a will replace Brig. Gen. Jesus Cambay, who was designated as deputy director of the Directorat­e for Integrated Police Operations for Southern Luzon.

Brig. Gen. Walter Castillejo­s was appointed as Director for Plans. Brig. Gen. Alexander Sampaga was designated head of the Center for Police Strategy Management Office while Col. Rommel Marbil was named executive officer of the Directorat­e for Plans.

Others who were given new assignment­s were Brig. Gen. Herminio Tadeo as deputy director of the Directorat­e for Human Resources and Doctrine Developmen­t and Brig. Gen. Armando de Leon as deputy director of the DICT.

Col. Narciso Domingo was named deputy director for administra­tion of Central Luzon while Col. Juan Añonuevo is the executive officer of the DIPO for Northern Luzon.

Former PNP spokesman Col. Ysmael Yu was reassigned to the Calabarzon police as deputy regional director. Col. Arcadio Jamora Jr. was named acting Commandant of Cadets of the PNP Academy in Silang, Cavite.

Sinas had also approved the non-duty status of seven retiring police officials who were replaced in the latest round of revamp. They were Major Generals Celso Pestaño and Jonas Calleja and Brigadier Generals Mario Rariza Jr., Joy Runes, Restito Gatera, Edgar Mosalve and Wilfredo Cayat.
