Danilo Barrios sets aside showbiz

-

There’s no business like show business, all right, and even if there are feelers for him to resume his career, Danilo Barrios politely begs off. He and his wife Regina “Regz” Soqueño are into another, arguably more profitable, business...Tatiomax Pharma Corp. which celebrated its 12th anniversary on Dec. 18 last year.

“Our business prospered more during the pandemic,” shared Danilo, former member of Chito Roño’s Streetboys. “The Gluta Softgels Tatio Active is one of our best-sellers kasi good booster ng immune system. Another reason for us to celebrate is that we now have more than 5,000 new resellers.”

Also in December last year, the couple and their staff prepared some 10,000 relief packages distributed among the typhoon victims in Isabella and Cagayan Valley.

This early, Danilo and Regz are training their kids Hugo and Ysabel in business. They could try showbiz when they’re older (including Alejandro, the newest addition to the family) but Danilo sees better future in a non-showbiz occupation. Ysabel has her own make-up line (@ ysabelbeautycosmeticskorea) and Hugo his @Hugoonlineshoppe (bags, shoes, luxury items, etc., with the colors and designs Hugo himself chooses). Of course, it’s Mama Regz who guides them (Regz has her own @MyPreciousOneJewelry as additional business).

“Better to start them young,” said Danilo whose family is based in the outskirts of Tarlac.

Incidentally, Danilo has taken a short course in Culinary Arts.

“Gusto ko ako mismo magluto ng healthy food for my family,” he said.
