Go aids typhoon-affected Bulacan residents

-

Sen. Bong Go reiterated the assurance of the government that it is doing its best to provide aid to residents affected by Typhoon Ulysses.

“Ilang buwan na ang nakalipas nang dumaan ang bagyo. Mag-iisang taon na rin ang pandemyang ito. Huwag sana tayong mapagod magtulungan hanggang malampasan natin ang mga krisis na ating hinaharap. Kami ni Pangulong Duterte, ginagawa namin ang lahat para mapangalagaan ang inyong kapakanan,” Go said during a visit to Pulilan, Bulacan on Tuesday.

“Pag nandyan na ang mga vaccine na binibili ng gobyerno, uunahin natin ang lahat ng frontliners at mga mahihirap,” he said.

Go’s team distributed packed meals, food packs, vitamins, face masks and face shields to 413 typhoon victims at the Pulilan Central School.

Selected beneficiaries received shoes while some were provided with bicycles so they can travel with ease while public transportation remains limited. Other recipients were given tablets to help their children study and access educational materials at home.

In addition to the aid the senator provided, representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development

distributed cash assistance as part of the government’s efforts to help victims of disasters and other crisis situations.

Go advised those who cannot afford medical treatment and services to seek aid through the Malasakit Centers at the Bulacan Medical Center in Malolos City and Rogaciano M. Mercado Memorial Hospital in Sta. Maria.
