Bong Go sends aid to Cainta fire victims

Consistent with its mission to help families recover from fire incidents, the office of Sen. Bong Go on Monday provided emergency assistance to four families affected by fire in Barangay San Andres in Cainta, Rizal on April 1.

Go’s staff organized an activity at the barangay hall, where they distributed packed meals, grocery packs and financial assistance to each family.

The beneficiaries also received vitamins, face masks and face shields to safeguard their health from the threat of COVID-19.

Representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) also distributed financial assistance.

In a video message, Go reassured the fire victims of government’s assistance.

He offered to help pay for the medical treatment or service needed by the beneficiaries. He also advised them to seek medical assistance from the DSWD, Department of Health, Philippine Health Insurance Corp. and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office through any of the nearby Malasakit Centers.

Malasakit Centers have been put up at the Bagong Cainta Municipal Hospital, Antipolo City Hospital System Annex IV, Margarito A. Duavit Memorial Hospital

in Binangonan and Casimiro A. Ynares Sr. Memorial Hospital in Rodriguez.

“Ipinangako sa inyo ang batas na ito. Hindi na ninyo kailangan pumila sa iba’t ibang opisina para humingi ng tulong. Nasa loob na ng ospital ang apat na ahensya para tulungan kayong maging zero balance ang hospital bills ninyo,” Go, principal author of the Malasakit Centers Act, said.
