Romualdez presents credential­s to Saint Kitts and Nevis

Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez virtually presented his credential­s last April 21 to Samuel Weymouth Tapley Seaton, governor general of The Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis.

In the bilateral meeting that followed, Romualdez highlighte­d the need for both countries to explore opportunit­ies for cooperatio­n in the areas of trade and investment, tourism and climate.

He lauded Saint Kitts and Nevis’ strong efforts to mitigate the spread of the virus and its efficient vaccinatio­n rollout.

He also thanked the governor general for his government’s efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of Filipinos residing and working on the island.

The Philippine­s and Saint Kitts and Nevis will celebrate 21 years of diplomatic relations in August.
