Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC) has expanded its presence with the opening of a new dealership in La Union.

In a statement, IPC president Hajime Koso said the new dealership was opened despite the difficulties posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

IPC partnered with One Maharlika Motors Sales and Services Corp. for the newly opened dealership.

Located at Barangay Paringao, Bauang, La Union, the dealership covers 8,607-square meters with a showroom that can display one truck and four light commercial vehicles (LCV). It also has a service area that can accommodate at least two trucks and five LCVs.

The new dealership is the 10th dealership to follow the Isuzu Outlet Standard.

“This new dealership design follows Isuzu’s Global Dealership Standards that gives importance not just to sales but to overall customer journey. Starting from their inquiry, sales, aftersales service up to their continuous return to Isuzu showroom, the dealer will be able to provide customer support in every step of the way,” Koso said.

Beyond serving customers in the area, he said the opening of the dealership is also seen to contribute to the growth of the province which has major potential in agriculture and tourism.

“We are now officially part of the province’s strive for progress. With our vehicles, we will contribute to the mobility of its people, of its goods and to its thriving agritourism,” he said.

As of end-September, IPC’s total vehicle sales reached 10,336 units, up 43.3 percent from the 7,211 units sold in the same period last year.

For the month of September alone, IPC sold 1,335 units, seven percent higher than the 1,248 units in the same month a year ago.
