Isko not bothered by Marcos lead in surveys

- By MARC JAYSON CAYABYAB

Manila Mayor and presidential aspirant Isko Moreno is not bothered that former senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. continues to lead surveys and got a religious endorsement, as he expressed hope that the “silent majority” will vote for him May 9.

In an interview on the sidelines of his caravan in Pasay City yesterday, Moreno said he would welcome any endorsement from religious sectors.

El Shaddai founder Bro. Mike Velarde endorsed the candidacies of Marcos and his running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.

“I’m always open for help. I need all kinds of help. I believe that the fight is not yet over until election day,” Moreno said in Filipino.

The mayor said he is hoping to get the support of the “ordinary” Filipino.

“I’m not bothered,” Moreno answered when asked to react to his rival’s religious support and survey lead.

Moreno thanked the “silent majority” for coming out of their houses during his caravans.

“As long as the people are there, the silent majority, we are happy,” Moreno said.
