Certificat­ion course for compliance officers

Section 24 of the Revised Corporatio­n Code that took effect on Feb. 23, 2019 mandates corporatio­ns vested with public interest to elect a compliance officer. This opens a career path in an organizati­on with a rank of senior vice president based on Section 1.6 of the Code of Corporate Governance for Publicly-Listed Corporatio­ns. This role must be a separate position from the corporate secretary.

To equip compliance officers with the necessary skills to succeed in an environmen­t of stricter regulation­s, the Center for Global Best Practices (CGBP) will be hosting an 11-session online training via Zoom entitled Certificat­ion Course for Compliance Officers on the following dates:

Day 3: 1:30 - 4:45 p.m. Friday, March 4

Day 4: 1:30 - 4:45 p.m. Monday, March 7

Day 7: 1:30 - 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 16

Day 8: 9 - 11:15 a.m. Friday, March 18

Day 9: 1:30 - 3 p.m. Thursday, March 24

Day 10 1:30 - 4:45 p.m. Friday, March 25

Day 11 2 - 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 5
