The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) and the Aboitiz Group are set to start a training program aimed at streamlining government processes for target national government agencies and local government unit beneficiaries as part of the Pinas Bilis streamlining project.

In a statement over the weekend, the ARTA said training for the first batch of participants for the Pinas Bilis program starts today, particularly the “Analytics for Organizations: Discovering Insights from Data” training program.

Of the training program’s participants, 10 are from ARTA, four from the Department of Information and Communications Technology and six from the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

ARTA said the training aims to capacitate participants in analyzing data and using statistical data, as well as presenting data through appropriate visual representation, such as frequency tables, charts, and scatter plots, among others.

Pinas Bilis is an end-to-end assistance that will be done from streamlining government processes of target national government agencies and local government units through empowerment activities to service delivery which involves donation of hardware.

In May, ARTA and the Aboitiz Group, through Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc. (AEV) and Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (AFI), signed the memorandum of agreement for the Pinas Bilis program, which aims to provide the needed digital tools and infrastructure to select government offices, as well as facilitate the necessary training to capacitate the employees from the respective agencies.

As part of the program , the initial batch of participants completed their four-day training on the Business Process Improvement conducted by ARTA’s Regulatory Management and Training Division.

The ARTA said next training for the second batch of participants would be held from Sept. 19 to 23.

It covers how to identify, analyze, improve, and monitor processes to promote work efficiency.

“Apart from this, ARTA and the Aboitiz Group will also hold training on Agile Project Management, Regulatory Impact Assessment Training, and Customer Service Delivery, among others,” the agency said.

It added that at the end of the training, national government agencies and local government units are expected to be equipped with the needed competencies to streamline their processes.
