Thursday evenings until April 25 are barbecue nights to look forward to at City of Dreams Manila’s Wave poolside restaurant, where popular Filipino street food and iconic contempora­ry fare take centerstag­e from sundown until 9 p.m.

Live performanc­es on alternatin­g Thursdays from acoustic pairs Philip Arabit and Cindy Honra, and Michelle Ayalde and Josh Braganza transform the contempora­ry poolside restaurant and bar into a chic and cool spot. Their enlivening music enhances the al fresco tropical vibe of Wave, which is surrounded by a lush landscape and located next to Nobu Hotel’s infinity lap pool,

The buffet features an impressive spread highlighte­d by the crispy sisig live station and on the grills, inihaw on sticks: Filipino-style pork barbecue skewers, chicken wings inasal, pork ears and mask, chicken liver and gizzard, chicken feet, dried pusit, balut chili garlic, chicken and pork longanisa and inhaw na mais. Filipino street fare tusok-tusok consisting of skewered and deep-fried treats are also featured: kwek-kwek, fish balls, chicharong bulaklak, kalamares, lumpiang Shanghai, tokwa, crispy crablets and Dynamite

lumpia, served with a selection of sawsawan, bringing the popular street-food experience to a deluxe setting.

For P1,999 net per person, the Filipino barbecue buffet comes with unlimited beverages consisting of sodas, chilled juices, iced tea and San Miguel Light Draft beer. NOBU WEEKEND BRUNCH Nobu Manila’s well-loved brunch, initially offered only on Sundays, adds a Saturday service starting April 20. The growing number of Nobu brunch fans love the hefty spread featuring a lavish selection of new-style Japanese cuisine, including a chef’s choice of seasonal sashimi, sushi, and maki rolls matched with Nobu signature sauces at the Sushi Bar. An array of the sea’s bounty at the Chilled Seafood Bar complement­s this section.

The Carving of the Day, Filipino-inspired dishes prepared the Nobu way, other specialty dishes, salads and soups are also available in a buffet combined with a special a la carte menu cooked a la minute. A varied selection of desserts and beverages complete the dining experience.

The Nobu brunch experience takes diners into a different culinary journey every weekend from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with varying menu highlights. The Brunch package starts at P3,499 net per person, inclusive of unlimited sodas, chilled juices, mocktails, tea, and coffee, while children ages 6 to 12 years enjoy a special rate of P1,749 per child. City of Dreams Manila entices guests to have a well-deserved break through the “It’s Summer in the City” promotion at its three Forbes Travel Guide (FTG) Star-rated hotels. The promotion highlights special rates for the season starting at P 9,698 net for either a one king bed or two twin beds at Hyatt Regency Manila; P10,700 net for a Nobu deluxe room with city view; and P18,200 net for a Nüwa deluxe room.

The overnight stay package is for two adults and two children (12 years old and below), which already comes with a compliment­ary breakfast and fully stocked and replenisha­ble Maxibar. Snacks and refreshmen­ts ranging from chilled juices to mocktails and tipples from either Breezes or Wave, Nüwa’s and Nobu’s poolside bars elevate the tropical vibe.

For the ultimate relaxing staycation, guests can indulge in a luxurious spa experience at the FTG Five Star Nüwa Spa or Nobu Spa, while over 20 restaurant­s offering premium dining experience­s will appeal to food lovers. The children can fill their hours with unlimited play with the 12 attraction­s at DreamPlay, the only DreamWorks-themed entertainm­ent center in the country where Shrek, Fiona, Panda, Puss in Boots, and other DreamWorks characters show up for photo ops. The Shops at the Boulevard provide indulgent shopping therapy with various lifestyle brands featured at the retail strip.
