Go leads Super Health Center turnover in Tarlac
Sen. Bong Go attended the turnover of a Super Health Center in Paniqui, Tarlac on Sunday.
During the event, Go cited the significance of the facility in providing Filipinos access to healthcare, especially the poor.
Go stressed the vital function of Super Health Centers in the early detection of diseases as well as in decongesting hospitals by providing primary care and medical consultations in communities.
Through the efforts of Go and his fellow senators as well as the Department of Health led by Secretary Teodoro Herbosa and local government units, adequate funds were allocated for the construction of 700 Super Health Centers nationwide.
Tarlac has 17 Super Health Centers that help provide primary care, medical consultation and early disease detection services in communities.
In support of community health frontliners, Go and his team distributed snacks, grocery packs, shirts, and balls for basketball andvolleyball to barangay health workers.
He urged residents in need of medical assistance to go to any Malasakit Center, which he initiated in 2018 after witnessing the struggles of poor Filipinos in getting medical assistance from the government.
The program was institutionalized under Republic Act 11463, which Go authored and sponsored in 2019, to ensure that Filipinos can have access to medical assistance programs offered by the government.
Go thanked Gov. Susan Yap, Rep. Jaime Cojuangco Jr., Paniqui Mayor Leonardo Roxas, Vice Mayor Aida Roxas and Gerona Vice Mayor Nonoy Go for serving their constituents.
He inspected the new Paniqui Public Market that was constructed through his support, and assisted displaced workers in Santa Ignacia town.
