Jeff Koons puts a fresh spin on the Old Masters for Louis Vuitton.

The mona Lisa kept a watchful eye over Jeff Koons this April at a private dinner in his honor inside her room at the Louvre—a fitting location, given that the canvas bags from Koons’s new collaboration with Louis Vuitton feature Leonardo’s portrait of La Joconde, as well as reproductions of masterpieces by titian, rubens, Fragonard, and van Gogh. Always the provocateur, Koons says the project’s intention is to bring art to the street and encourage onlookers to view old masters anew. The idea is catching on. Japanese billionaire yusaku maezawa, the new owner of a $110.5 million basquiat, proudly showed off his acquisition on his public instagram feed and plans to take it on tour. Could Jeanmichel be in round two?
