Man dragged out of home and shot in Cauayan
A 59-year-old man was killed Sunday night after he was reportedly dragged out of his home and shot by three gunmen in Barangay Inayawan, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the fatality as Orlando Biana, a resident of Purok 1 in the said barangay.
Cauayan municipal police investigators said the suspects were identified as Rico Villanueva and Jorge Villanueva, along with another gunman identified only by the alias “Dondon Estrada.”
The three allegedly charged the home and, once inside, they dragged Biana into the terrace and shot him multiple times before fleeing the crime scene.
A preliminary autopsy of the victim’s remains found he sustained a total seven gunshot wounds across his body.
Police are now investigating the motive behind the attack./
Thirty one centenarians, or those who have reached the age of 100, were each awarded P100,000 from the provincial government, along with a Negros Occidental Comprehensive Health Program card and plaque.
