Eleven bus­men called up for na­tional duty

Eleven Ceres-Ne­gros FC play­ers have been called up by the Philip­pine na­tional foot­ball team, the Azkals, ahead of the 2018 AFF Suzuki Cup group stage, which opens next week. The team be­gins their cam­paign on Tues­day, Novem­ber 13, against Sin­ga­pore at the Panaad.

Among the Ceres play­ers mak­ing it on the ros­ter in­clude de­fend­ers Amani Aguinaldo, Carli de Murga, and Martin Steu­ble; mid­field­ers OJ Por­te­ria, Mike and Manny Ott, Kevin In­greso, Stephan Schröck, and Paul Mul­ders; strik­ers Curt Di­zon Pa­trick Re­ichelt.

Aguinaldo, Steu­ble, In­greso, Paul Mul­ders, the Ott broth­ers, Di­zon, and Re­ichelt were ear­lier called up in last month's friendly against Oman, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Af­ter the Sin­ga­pore match, the Azkals head to the Kuala Lumpur Foot­ball Sta­dium in Malaysia to face Ti­mor-Leste on Novem­ber 17; then it's back in Ba­colod City on Novem­ber 21, where they meet Thai­land./JSG,
