15-year-old minor admits to crime, using drugs

-

Two suspected robbers were arrested early yesterday morning, while two alleged accomplices managed to escape, after a pawnshop was burglarized at Bangga Metal in Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City.

Police refused to identify the two arrested suspects, but confirmed one was a minor, aged 15 years old.

Police Station 7 (PS7) commander, Police Chief Inspector Ramil Sarona, said the suspects gained entry into the pawnshop by destroying the roof. Once inside, they proceeded to steal coins, which amounted to around P3,000.

PS7 immediately conducted a follow-up operation, which resulted in the arrests.

In a radio interview, the minor admitted to the incident, as well to other theft and robbery cases

involving commercial establishments in the city.

They also admitted to using illegal drugs, noting, the money they stole was being used to buy illicit substances.

A follow-up operation is now being conducted for the two other suspects, while the arrested pair could face robbery charges.
