Pro­vin­cial gov’t is­sues warn­ing re­gard­ing em­ploy­ment scam

Ac­cord­ing to the Ne­gros Oc­ci­den­tal pro­vin­cial gov­ern­ment, an in­di­vid­ual is re­port­edly col­lect­ing money from lo­cals with the ex­pec­ta­tion of a gov­ern­ment job in ex­change.

In a state­ment re­leased by the pro­vin­cial gov­ern­ment, act­ing Pro­vin­cial Ad­min­is­tra­tor, Dr. Lu­cille Gelv­olea, af­firmed no­body has been au­tho­rized to con­duct such ac­tiv­ity.

Last month, the pro­vin­cial gov­ern­ment warned lo­cal food es­tab­lish­ments of unau­tho­rized trans­ac­tions in­volv­ing cus­tomers us­ing the Gover­nor’s Of­fice to re­serve and pay for food.

In re­sponse, Gelv­olea said the pro­vin­cial gov­ern­ment does not tol­er­ate such ac­tions and in­formed res­tau­rant own­ers only per­son­nel and staff of the Gover­nor’s Of­fice can au­tho­rize such trans­ac­tions.
