Early morning quake strikes Iloilo

A 2.4-magnitude earthquake was recorded around 4:11 a.m. yesterday with an epicenter just west of Leon, Iloilo.

A Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology bulletin indicating no damage was recorded due to the incident, nor were there any

anticipated aftershocks.

Earthquakes ranging between 1.0 and 3.0

in magnitude are often classified as a Level 1 on the Mercalli intensity scale, where very few even feel the tremor.
