Robbers overpower showroom guards in Talisay City

Four armed robbers reportedly overpowered several guards late Tuesday night and burglarized the Honda-Negros Occidental showroom in Talisay City.

Police identified the two guards as Danilo Denoro and John Galanza.

Based on initial investigations by Talisay City police, four bonnetwearing men arrived aboard a tricycle and immediately overpowered Denoro. They then seized the guard’s firearm and tied his hands.

Upon spotting Galanza, the suspects allegedly hit Denoro and charged Galanza, also subduing him.

The suspects then proceeded to the second floor, breaking into offices, and taking a safe, which they destroyed with a sledgehammer.

One of the suspects also reportedly took the memory card from the closed-circuit television cameras.

The suspects, carting away an undetermined amount of cash, fled and left the two guards tied up.

The victims took at least a few hours before they broke free and contacted police and were later treated for wounds sustained from the assault.
