Provincial Administration Center to be demolished next month

- By Dominique Gabriel G. Bañaga

The demolition of the Negros Occidental Provincial Administration Center (PAC) building will take place next month in order to make way for the construction of the Capitol Commercial Center (CCC).

Acting Provincial Administrator, Dr. Lucille Gelvolea, said the provincial government has asked construction company Dynamic Builders for more time in order to relocate their offices to other buildings.

She also confirmed some provincial offices are set to transfer this month to the St. Francis Building, located along Araneta Street; Benjamin Hall, located at 4th-Lacson Streets; and Negros First CyberCentre, located along Lacson Street.

Once PAC is demolished, Dynamic Builders will immediately start construction on the CCC.

Earlier, the provincial government canceled plans to lease office space in the Philippine National Bank building due to the high lease price.
