Philippine Philharmonic to perform in Bacolod City

The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra is scheduled to perform a two-night outreach concert in Bacolod City. They will perform at the SMX Convention Center at SM City Bacolod on January 31 and at the Bacolod City Government Center grounds on February 1.

The first event is invitation only, while the second will be an open air concert.

“We are inviting the barangays to watch this concert,” said Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia.

Meanwhile, Bacolod City Councilor Em Ang, who serves as project manager for the concert, called the orchestra “one of the top musical ensembles in the Asia-Pacific region” and said the event is intended to “promote music appreciation in underserved communities in the different regions in the country.”

“It will boost our efforts to revive our people’s interest in the performing arts,” she added.
