19 Negrenses welcomed in Japan

The 19 Negrense nurses and midwives studying in Japan with the Houei Internatio­nal Japanese Language Academy in Miyakonojo and, upon completion of language curriculum, will enroll in a caregiving vocational course, were formally welcomed with an entrance ceremony last week.

According to Houei Group chairman Yutaka Shimizu, he is expecting 200 Negrenses to be employed in Miyakonojo.

Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, said the Jr. provincial government will continue to assist local residents with an interest in working in Japan.

Meanwhile, Negros Occidental Scholarshi­p Program division head Karen Dinsay said the province is currently seeking unemployed nurses and midwives willing to enroll in the five-month Japanese Language and Culture Training Course with the Organizati­on for Industrial, Spiritual, and Cultural Advancemen­t Training Center in Barangay Tabunan, Bago City./WDJ
