The Philippine men's national water polo team scored a silver medal in the ongoing Southeast Asian Games. Despite their 1411 victory over Malaysia last Sunday evening at the New Clark City Aquatics Center in Capaz, Tarlac, they finished behind Indonesia, falling short by one point.
In their silver medalclinching game, the Philippines took an 11-6 lead, which later diminished to 12-10 with 4:02 left. A goal from Matthew Yu with 2:53 remaining in the match and a closing goal by Aljon Salonga sealed the deal.
