Man arrested for ‘statutory rape’

A man wanted for statutory rape charges was arrested on Saturday afternoon at Sitio Tangcuban, located in Binalbagan town’s Barangay Amontay.

Police Major Fernando Somblingo, Jr. of Binalbagan Police Station identified the arrested as 37-year-old Tiny Fundador, a resident of the said place.

According to the Binalbagan police, Fundador was served an arrest warrant for 11-count statutory rape issued by Judge Walter Zorilla of the Regional Trial Court- Branch 55 in Himamaylan City.

The suspect is currently detained at the Binalbagan Police Station.
