Wedding Essentials - - WE DISCOVERIES - Words LOREN DIMAANO Photos courtesy of PROJECT JDG WEDDINGS

Project JDG Weddings can sum up its philosophy in one world: sophistication. The essence of what their pictorials portray however seemed like a far-fetched dream when photographer Joshua De Guzman, founder of Project JDG Weddings, started out. As early as 2011, Joshua stumbled upon the Wedding and Portrait Photographer of the Philippines, a professional organization of who aims to promote goals and programs of wedding photographers in the country–in St. Paul University, and instantly realized that wedding photography could be his true calling. Fast-forward to a year later, he left his in Tuguegarao in Cagayan and moved to Manila to pursue his career. It took about a year when he finally established Project JDG Weddings in 2013, and ever since its humble days, Joshua made sure that every heartfelt wedding would be as profound in photos as it was during the ceremony.

How they capture these moments however isn’t just a means of storytelling, but one that also breathed sophistication. It’s a message they clarify with their clients, especially during pre-shoot meetings and on-site pictorials. Joshua reiterates, “Project JDG Weddings’ mantra is all about sophisticated wedding stories. Defining ‘sophisticated,’ the team wants to capture every small detail in the most artistic, creative, and fancy way. The team considers wedding stories as the directors of Project JDG, [wanting] to capture the moments of a couple’s special day in a photojournalistic way.”
