CELEBRATING CITYSCAPES
I grew up as a city girl, and in my heart, I will always be one. Probably, most of the modern brides did as well, I and this issue is a tribute to that. Volume 14 Issue 3 is all about luxe city weddings. Something I hope you can take inspiration from.
Here, we celebrate the beauty and luxury of the metro. Most often, we have to go outside Manila just to get a feel of the outdoors. To get all the opulence and grandeur and bask in the sprawling open spaces. But when you think about all the concerns and restraints—budget, logistics, schedules and the like—it might not be as viable an idea to celebrate out of town. Still, that shouldn’t stop you from holding a wedding you can be proud of.
In our Dream Themes section, we collaborate with three talented event stylists to transform three city venues: Casa De Juico, Discovery Suites, and Grand Hyatt Manila, into grand reception spaces. We also bring back one of the sections that has always been close to my heart— Groom Makeover—where we give three groomsto-be a day of pampering and wedding tips from the WE editors.
I am also excited to present our collaboration with one of the finest destinations I know in the south. It’s been nearly a decade since I first visited Tagaytay Highlands for a shoot, mounting the lemon setup with Tita Beth Amat of Eve and Co. It was an amazing experience, set upon the sprawling greens. A picture perfect collaboration whose memory remains with me today.
Through the years, Tagaytay Highlands has been focused on promoting luxury weddings, giving its members and guests exquisite service. From food, lodging, and of course, events, they have always delivered.
