THE BRIDE

Sofia is an artist in both drawing and acting and she has competed yearly in school until 2017.

Today, she takes on the noble role of being a mother as she focuses on her six-month old son.

However, Sofia is not your ordinary mom. This lady keeps herself fit by doing HIIT, kickboxing, and boxing, where she hits harder than most and she takes her training seriously. Her active lifestyle is further enriched by travels that she shares with her family.

When it comes to beauty, Sofia is one of the women who have been blessed by beautiful skin. She just makes sure that she keeps it hydrated with soap and moisturizer, and nourishes it with a lemon facial mask every other day. This routine makes her skin glowing and refreshed.

THE LOVE STORY

Sofia and her husband, JC, met during college— two weeks after the semester started, to be exact. He was introduced to her by a friend, and on that day, he sat beside her and they spoke with each other until the class ended. They would later discover that they had the same four-hour break, they had the same group mates, and they enrolled on the same subjects.

“There was no way we couldn’t have fallen in love with each other since we were both doing very well academically and socially. We were a team in every aspect and what I love about our relationship is that we are free to be with our friends and family without the jealousy and time restriction. He lets me decide on what I want and he fully trusts me,” shares Sofia.

With this invaluable trust, Sofia could tell him everything and this makes her happy. She also shares that JC is a happy person too, who never speaks ill of anyone.

And on a trip to Turkey, on a supposedly early morning hot air balloon ride, JC showed her the ring with the picturesque backdrop.

THE LOOK

For her upcoming wedding, Sofia wants a Korean-style look—with straight soft brows, glowing skin, soft pink tinted lips, rosy cheeks, and batting eyelashes. And to achieve this for the shoot, Jasmine Mendiola worked with her wands.

“Sofia had healthy looking skin so I didn’t want to cover that up with too much coverage, contour or too much highlight and really wanted it to seem like there’s literally a glow coming from within the skin and peeking through under the makeup,” shares Jasmine.

For her hair, Eddiemar Cabiltes created a low soft bun, which is a classic look that gives balance to Sofia’s small face.

After the hair and make-up session, Sofia was a picture of a youthful Asian bride who would surely turn heads on her big day.
