THE BRIDE

Diane has a creative soul and she likes looking at colorful and imaginative things. And when it comes to dealing with deeper aspects of life, she believes that listening and understanding each situation is the key to having a peaceful relationship with your lover, with friends, and with people from work and at home.

Her lifestyle is of beauty, discovery, and joy. She loves dressing up, trying out new restaurants, exploring new places, drinking wine, and dancing.

To achieve a natural, glowing, everyday look, Diane shares her five essentials. She uses a CC cream with moisturizer and SPF 20 for her face, well-groomed eyebrows shaped with pencil and filled-in with powder, a hint of blush and contour on the cheeks, a dab of tint on her lips, and a mascara and curler to open up her eyes. She also like to wear her hair down.

Aside from make-up, Diane makes sure that she cares for her skin as well. Her routine involves thorough cleansing of facial oil, followed by facial wash, facial scrub every other day, and a Vitamin C serum to make her glowing the following day.

THE LOVE STORY

Diane and Jakin met in college; both of them were taking up multimedia arts at De La Salle College of St. Benilde. Though they had been hanging out with common friends since their second year, it wasn’t until their fourth year when they got the chance to hang out more often. They were friends first, which gave them a good foundation in their relationship. They were able to get to know each other better before becoming a couple.

“I love how honest and genuine our relationship is…no mind games or any drama in the movies. The thing love about him is that he is a true gentleman and I am a very lucky girl to meet someone who is very patient, understanding and loving. He never forgets to open the door for me and to our girlfriends. And I like that he does that to any girl because I believe that’s how everyone should be treated—with respect,” share Diane.

When it comes to his proposal, this gentleman didn’t disappoint. He invited Diane to model for a photoshoot for a friend’s studio. Without her knowing, her creativity was being incorporated in that magical moment as she planned the concepts and looks for the shoot. After the first layout, she was asked by the photographer to face the wall for a profile shot and behind the scene shots. Though she thought of it weird, she went along with it. This was the moment when Jakin knelt down in front of her, and with a shaking voice, he began pouring out his feelings as he asked her to marry him.

THE LOOK

Chuchie Ledesma for Maybelline New York created the look that Diane imagined for her wedding day. It was inspired by Diane Von Furstenburg Spring Summer Collection 2016 sans the colored eyeshadows.

“She’s got pretty eyes and enviable brows so I those the focal point of her entire look,” shares Chuchie. “She wanted to experiment with her look, with a tinge of spice, but still wanted to look like herself.”

For her hair, Eddiemar Cabiltes made full curls with a sided partition. He shared that since her hair is long and full, the curls could be intact for the whole day. A couple of Swarovski hairpieces also added sparkle to the hairstyle while helping illuminate her face further.

“I love how my make up was done. It was how I wanted it a touch of peach on the skin and lips in mauve color. Hair was very elegant,” shares Diane.
