4th Wall sets the stage for virtually all kinds of events

As one of the country’s leading production design companies, 4th Wall deals with the overall aesthetic of a production, be it a wedding, birthday party, corporate event or TV show.4th Wall has been the go-to designer for full production setups for events for almost twenty years.

Some of the weddings that they have done include those of

Julius Babao and Christine Bersola, Christopher de Leon and Sandy Andolong, and Nonitodonaire, Jr. and Rachel Marcial. 4th Wall has designed themed stages for the debut parties of Julia Montes and Kathryn Bernardo. Their regular corporate clients include ABS-CBN, PLDT, Smart, Pru Life UK, Yondu, JVF Commercial, and many more.

It all started with candles. 4th Wall traces its roots from Balaykandila, a humble candle-making team back in 1997. Balaykandila made personalized unity candles and candle souvenirs at a time when candles were all the rage. Soon after, the company broke into the wedding scene with its signature flower-and-candle table centerpiece which was inspired by the floating rose in Beauty and the Beast. From table centerpieces, Balaykandila moved to designing entire wedding receptions and other special events with non-traditional themes. Eventually, the company took the name 4th Wall which is now a sought-after production designer for all sorts of celebrations.

Three design principles guide 4th Wall. First, the client is the most important voice in the entire creative process so much sothattheir vision takes precedence. However, this does not mean that 4th

Wall’s designs are mere dictations from clients. Every project is a collaboration. That is why communication is essential. For weddings, 4th Wall always takes care to integrate the couple’s personality into the production design.

Secondly, “You’re only as good as your last show.” 4th Wall believes that no matter how many good events or projects they may have done, failing to deliver or disappointing the client even in just one event negates all the past events. This is why 4th Wall continuously trains its team members to treat every client with the same strictness for quality and attention to detail.

Finally, innovation sets 4th Wall apart from other companies in the industry. 4th Wall is not afraid to venture into the unfamiliar. A new theme or event when difficult, always excites 4th Wall and that is how they are able to innovate.
