Eizel and her friend, Princess, were about to enter a club one night when a woman named Cathe—who was with her friend called Gian— approached them and started chatting them up. They hung out together for most of the night. It was only on the next day when Eizel found out that Princess and Cathe didn’t even know each other until

Cathe walked up to them.

“Gian struck me as this cute, confident-but-not-cocky guy who has his head on straight. And he wasn’t flirting with me! Which was nice because I thought it would be cool to have him as a friend and that if he would turn out to be my boyfriend, that’s even better!” shares Eizel.

Eizel and Gian kept on talking that night and she got to know more about him. According to her, he’s fun and spontaneous, well-versed with topics, and he’s not afraid to dip his toes into unknown waters. They exchanged numbers and soon, they’ll be man and wife.

The proposal was quite a surprise for Eizel. During a trip to Bantayan Islands, they volunteered to model for her brother, who was trying out his drone camera. Gian got down on one knee and brought out a ring.

“I knew he was the one after a few years of living in together. I saw all sides of him, the good and the bad. All of which I have accepted. All of which I’m happy to live with. It’s not one thing nor a few things, it’s definitely all of him,” shares Eizel.
