THE BRIDE

Creativity is Sara’s lifestyle. Aside from her job as a Communications Manager at Passion Cooks a Catering and Event Styling Company, she also runs a really cool business with her , Marvin. It’s called PURVEYR, a multi-dimensional social brand that fosters the creative spirit through stories, objects and experiences from the Philippines. Its four departments are igital, rint, vents, and etail.

But even if she has all these tasks on her plate, Sara glows with natural beauty through caring for her skin. Her morning routine includes cleansing, toning, moisturizing, and applying sunscreen. At night, she does the basic three plus serum, eye cream, and spot treatment. And with this nourished base, all she needs for a fresh daily look are her skin tint, concealer, powder, blush, and mascara.

“I enjoy working out, listening to podcasts, and going to my favorite coffee shops shouts out to Curator, Yardstick and OTO ,” shares Sara.

THE LOVE STORY

Sara shares that she wasn’t into clubbing but perhaps she had to go to a specific club one night, six years ago, because destiny was waiting to dance with her.

“He was working as a photographer, while I was there to support my friend, who was the promoter Long story short, the night ended with him asking for my number. And the rest, as they say, is history,” shares Sara.

Since they run a business together, Sara and Marvin are able to achieve work-life balance. They spend most of their time working in coffee shops, listening to podcasts while they’re stuck in traffic, going on breakfast, lunch or dinner dates, and watching movies or Netflix during their spare time.

Both Sara and Marvin are practicing creative souls. And since a proposal is a once in a lifetime event, she was expecting for it to happen during a planned trip to Japan during Christmas break. However, Marvin used a very ordinary day to pop the question.

“It was a regular Sunday we had brunch, heard mass, strolled around the mall, and drove home. When we got to his house, it was dark, as in pitch black. He turned on the lights, and there were plants scattered in their living room. I super love plants, so I still didn’t suspect anything, I just got so excited seeing all the plants and I just thought his mom bought new ones and didn’t know where to put them. Haha! Then he goes ‘You know I don’t talk about marriage…’ and that’s when I realized what was happening,” shares Sara.

THE LOOK

And now that the aisle awaits, Sara already has her bridal look in mind.

“I just really want to look like myself—a fresh and radiant make-up look and loose waves in a ponytail,” she shares.

For th shoot, make-up artist Kris Bacani created an earthy, natural look with warm tones for Sara. She highlighted her big beautiful eyes, which Kris thinks are her best feature. She used smokey hues and natural falsies to make it pop.

“I love the make-up look Kris did for me. I showed her pegs and she nailed them. It was clean and fresh, and it didn’t feel heavy on the skin,” says Sara.

As for her hair, JA Feliciano worked on a volumized mid-ponytail that gave her a clean front, with a happening party at the back—just like how Sara envisioned her mane for her big day.
