From the Stage to the Runways Fashion Designer Aandrei David’s training in theater has led to remarkable designs in the bridal world
At an early age, fashion designer Aandrei David threw himself into the arts. He had always adored art and made a point of mastering it as discipline, undaunted by all the challenges of pursuing it. But before becoming a designer, Aandrei was first a theater actor.
The art of theater is all about harmony: from the director’s eye to each actor’s character. He spent years cultivating the discipline. It was living, moving art and, realizing this, he wanted to immortalize his passion by venturing into fashion and creating clothing.
Aandrei’s theatre experience came into play when his passion for fashion reached its peak. Having already played different characters and worn different costumes, he felt a genuine connection to every article of clothing he wore. They had an enigmatic ability to make him feel each character.
His work in theatre led to projects with some of country’s renowned stage directors, production houses, and companies as a costume designer—giving life to each play and concept that came his way.
Now, as a designer, Aandrei creates his vision around the wishes of his clients while stamping it with his signature sophistication, elegance, and femininity. His inspired bridal creations exude strength and confidence, felt in the fabrics that embrace his clients.
Aandrei is an advocate of working with eco fabrics, indigenous fabrics, as well as flawless execution with laces, textures and stones. An Aandrei David bride is always a vision of sparkling magic, walking down the aisle, floating in an air of romanticism in ultra-feminine and lightweight fabrics. Much in the same way that theater’s job is to breathe life to a story, he believes that his job is to help realize a fantasy, all while leaving room for functionality.
His masterful eye has taken the world of fashion by storm and his name is heard even beyond the borders of the country. Aandrei David now stands as a member of the House of ikons in the United Kingdom, where he showcased his collection last February 2019 during London Fashion Week.
Though a dreamer himself, he believes in the magic of perseverance and grit, remaining a learner while discovering, creating, and innovating. It is, after all, the only way to create something truly new.
