THEBRIDE

As a guidance counselor, Jessa’s days are filled interviews, aptitude testing, and counseling students. While this is a rewarding endeavor, she also takes great joy in being outdoors. She likes hiking up the mountains, with the adrenaline rush that the climb gives and the breathtaking views. Every year, she also makes it a point to travel to at least one local destination and hop on one international flight.

THELOVESTORY

“May ipapakilala ako sa ‘yo, kaya lang nasa ibang bansa.”

This is how Jezza and Alfred’s journey began—with an introduction that never really happened.

In 2015, Jezza posted a photo on Facebook, tagging friends. It was through this that Alfred saw the photo. Curious, Alfred asked his friends about the girl in the photo. Fate decided to play its hand as he was mistakenly led to Jezza’s Facebook profile. This new-age version of boy-meets-girl blossomed to a wonderful courtship, defying the odds and the miles between them.

In 2016, months into the courtship, Jezza decided to travel to Dubai as part of her yearly schedule. Atop the Burj Khalifa, Jezza and Alfred took their relationship a step further, though they both knew of the impending separation.

For three years, miles apart, it was the quintessential longdistance relationship.

By April 2019, the couple took a few days off to vacation in Batanes. It was initially a beautiful day, though skies soon darkened. Jezza and Alfred were soaked in the rain in the middle of a hike and soon became frustrated.

As the skies brightened again, the two shared an intimate trek as they made their way back to the hills. The view from the hilltop was breathtaking, the intimacy of the moment intense. Jezza turned away from the hilltop view, only to look back and see Alfred on one knee, proposing to her. At that moment, nothing else mattered.

Despite the odds, despite the miles, they were in for a lifetime of happiness.

THELOOK

Jezza’s dream look captures her simple and classic aesthetic. She intends to be a bright and rosy bride, hair delicately swept back in a low bun, and clad in a comfortably chic wedding gown that lets her move around.
