Capturing the full depth and emotion of a couple’s story and translating it into a compelling wedding video takes great skill and experience. Both of which the husband and wife tandem, Herwin and Michelle Banaag, have in abundance.

Being wedding filmmakers, the couple’s combined passion for covering once-in-a-lifetime moments paved the way for Forevermine Films.

“We don’t just focus on weddings, but also on other events that will help us unleash our creativity in all sides of this business. But for us, it’s more than just a business that needs to be done—it has to be done precisely and well thought-[out] with love,” says the Banaags.

Over the years, they have each developed their own distinct approach to filmmaking.

“We carefully mastered the way we tell stories—we use innovative and creative styles in editing and we bring about love in every frame. We make sure to make each video a masterpiece—a treasure that would always remain. So that when they look back, no matter how many years have passed, they could always say that the moments captured in their video will last forever,” they explain.

When it comes to shoots, the staff of Forevermine Films is divided into two teams, each one headed by either of the Banaags. Team Michelle’s signature style is showcasing the natural beauty of happy, dramatic, and candid moments via artistic, cinematic shots. Michelle’s feminine touch adds a palpable, emotional connection to her videos, giving it a timeless and heartfelt appeal.

Meanwhile, Team Herwin’s approach to filmmaking is more bold and experimental, showcasing beauty, luxury, and elegance. Herwin’s keen eye for extraordinary details and angles allows the beauty beneath the surface to stand out. Herwin personally edits his videos, using a signature style that reflects his passion and often leaves an indelible mark to viewer.

Based on their massive workload, both of these styles are a big hit with past and potential clients.

“We believe that they book us because they love and appreciate our work—we always say that we all have different minds but [ultimately] one goal: to make every wedding memorable. Each individual on our team has their own way of releasing and showing their creativity and we let them,” the Banaags say of their success.

The two aren’t finicky when it comes to choosing projects, often trying to accommodate as many clients as they can without compromising quality.

“We think that every event is remarkable: opportunities to meet new, potential clients. As we always say, we treat our clients fairly—[whether] it’s simple and intimate or a grand and imposing wedding, we give nothing but the best that our clients deserve,” they add.

Having worked on a number of wedding videos over the years, the couple has a few pointers for clients who want to make their video extra special.

“First is that, in order to produce a wonderful and memorable film, they always have to have that personal, sincere, and intimate understanding between the two of them. It doesn’t only make the union special, but it also reflects on our videos. Love transpires through our film if it is evident in the couple. There are moments that cannot be edited. If the authenticity and rawness of their relationship is apparent, then all else will follow,” the Banaags mention.

Despite the grueling hours and tiring pace often entailed by their job, Herwin and Michelle remain committed to creating wedding films that capture the heart of the moment.

“Our greatest reward is seeing the smiles and tears of happiness from our couples’ faces. To see how their eyes glimmer, as the reflection of what happened throughout the day plays right before their eyes. To feel the love and appreciation they have for the hard work that we have done, and to catch their genuine smiles and overwhelming ‘thank yous’ while we congratulate them as the day wraps up and their new journey has begun. This is what keeps us going and this is what makes us feel alive. And at the end of the day, all the moments captured will forever be our couple’s, will forever be ours, and it will be Forevermine.”
