fifteen days before Christmas last year, when she turned one month old, Talitha Maria Luna-Sotto was welcomed into the Christian world. The firstborn child of Pauleen Luna and Vic Sotto received the sacrament of baptism in the very same church where her parents got married in January 2016.

Talitha—or baby Tali, as the newest Sotto kid is now called—got her name from an aramaic word that means “little girl.” The name, according to Wikipedia, is “in reference to the biblical story in the Gospel of Mark in which Jesus Christ was said to have resurrected a dead child with the words ‘Talitha cumi’ or ‘Talitha kum’ or ‘Talitha koum,’ meaning ‘Little girl, I say to you, arise!’”

It took bosLeng (to use the celebrity uni-name of bossing Vic Sotto and Pauleen “Poleng” Luna) almost two years of marriage—or a total of “six years of togetherness,” as Pauleen put it in an Instagram post—before they were finally blessed with a baby, who was born on November 6 last year, just four days’ short of her Mommy Pauleen’s 29th birthday.

after recuperating from her caesarean operation, Pauleen took to Instagram on November 14 to thank her husband for making her life complete. Her whole message read: “a few days ago, the day after Talitha was born, we celebrated 6 years of togetherness… actually, we didn’t get to celebrate because we were so busy with Talitha. Our new source of joy! Thank you for 6 wonderful years, my love. Thank you for giving me a family. Thank you for making my dream come true, to become a mom. Thank you for the unconditional love that you give me, us. Thank you for being the best husband any woman could ask for! Thank you for always making me feel appreciated. Those late nights when you rub my back when I feed, just so i’d feel that you appreciate what i do. I am truly blessed to be in this special moment with you! Look at us, 6 years after! I love you so much! I love you so much more now ❤ Happy anniversary!

Later in the day of Talitha’s baptism, her mom again took to Instagram to thank all the ninongs and ninangs who had agreed to take on the role of second parents to the little one. Poleng’s full message went: “Today, our little angel got baptized! Same...

Talitha was born three weeks earlier than her due date, and six years after her parents officially became a couple. On Christmas Day last year, Pauleen declared on IG: “Definitely worth the wait! I love you anak! You’re the best Christmas present!...

The Sotto clan was represented at the ceremony by Bossing’s younger brother Maru and Maru’s wife Mabel (couple on the left), and Beverly and husband Val Sotto, Bossing’s kuya (couple on the right).
