February 24 to March 3 – Loulé “alternative” Carnival | “Loulé Carnival running away from the bug”. Avenida José da Costa Mealha will host two Carnival floats which will be on display for everyone to see. Largo Afonso III will also host a float exhibition, while Cerca do Convento and Largo de S. Francisco will be decorated to bring the spirit of Carnival to Loulé. The Loulé’s traditional Carnival ‘baile’ (dance) which will be held online at 9.30pm on February 28. Musical entertainment will be provided by Fora D’Horas who will perform live at Solar da Música Nova (performance will also be streamed on the council’s Facebook and YouTube pages). A bus playing Carnival music take to Loulé’s streets on February 27 and March 1
February 25 to March 1 – Castro Marim Carnival on wheels. A Carnival truck will be bringing a taste of the town’s usual Carnival parade to several locations
February 25, 26, 27 – Arts & Crafts Fair. Faro, Jardim Manuel Bívar 9am to 5pm
February 26 – Gastronomy Showcase with Chef Luís Reis. São Brás de Alportel Market, during the morning
February 26 & 27 – Carnival Market. Local producers and artisans will be selling their products and crafts at Avenida José da Costa Mealha in Loulé. 26th 10am and 5pm, 27th 2pm and 5pm
February 27 & March 1 – Moncarapacho Carnival Dances at Praça da República, from 3.30pm
