Lagos art festival encourages artists to sign up

-

ASSOCIATION || Organisers of Out-(In)VerAno Festival in Lagos are encouraging artists to sign up for a chance to be a part of the event.

Artists have until May 20 to present their bids and explain what kind of artistic project they would like to add to the programme of the festival, which is due to take place between July 15 and 17 in Lagos.

The event is organised by cultural association Questão Repetida, which says the festival strives to “decentralise culture” in Lagos and the Algarve by “pitching a three-day programme of activities based on the trilogy of Arts, Science and Heritage and the dichotomy of Lagos, Sea and the Land, Inland and the Coast.”

The organisers add that the population of Lagos, like most of the Algarve, is composed of a “huge diversity of people, both in terms of locals and visitors,” which is a reality that the proposed artistic projects should take into account.

Proposals will be accepted from individual artists or groups from Portugal and abroad. They must include the name of the artist, a biography no longer than 1,500 words, address, phone number, email, target audience and a description of their artistic project, as well as the necessary budget, technical rider, and author rights.

The bids, as well as requests for further information, can be sent to questao. repetida.producao@gmail. com with the subject ‘Out(In)VerAno’ followed by the name of the candidate.

Questão Repetida is a cultural association based in Lagos which organises and promotes several artistic creations and events.
