Tastes are always subjective and, personally, I don't think the latest 3 Series Touring is as beautiful as the model it replaces. The main difference is in the front grille which, now composed of a single element, has lost some of its harmony.

Os gostos são sempre subjetivos e, pessoalmente, não acho a mais recente Série 3 Touring tão bonita quanto o modelo que substitui. A principal diferença está na grelha dianteira que, sendo agora composta por um só elemento, perdeu alguma da sua harmonia.

Deixando isso para trás, o resto desta BMW é simplesmente fantástico. De facto, costuma dizer-se que qualquer pessoa só precisa de um automóvel como um Volkswagen Golf e, no segmento do Golf, o Golf é ainda e sempre o líder mas, por uns pozinhos mais é possível chegar-se àquele que é, porventura, o melhor carro do mundo chamado ‘normal’. Para mim esse carro é a Série 3 Touring.

Primeiro que tudo, é um BMW, ou seja, o prazer de condução nunca está mais longe do que uma estrada com poucas retas; segundo, dá para todos os momentos, seja para a cidade, as viagens ou o prazer de conduzir sem destino; terceiro, é prática: leva a família, as malas e o cão.

Não há nada que uma Série 3 Touring não faça e não faça excecionalmente bem. Anda muito, gasta pouco, tem a melhor performance dinâmica de qualquer carrinha do mercado e incorpora as últimas tecnologias de segurança, apoio à condução e infotainment. Não é perfeita, mas anda lá bem perto.

First of all, it’s a BMW, meaning that driving pleasure is never more than a long, straight road away; second, it’s for all moments, whether it’s for the city, for travel or for the pleasure of driving without a destination; third, it’s practical: it fits the family, the suitcases and the dog.

There is nothing that a Series 3 Touring doesn't do, and that it doesn’t do exceptionally well. It drives a lot, consumes little, has the best dynamic performance of any estate on the market and incorporates the latest safety technologies, driving support and infotainment. It isn’t perfect, but it is very close.
