In 1951 and 2001, the British stateswoman Margaret Thatcher chose the Savoy, in Madeira. In the first case for her honeymoon. In the second to mark 50 years of marriage. The refurbishment also reached the restaurants and bars. The Armada continues to be the signature restaurant, with a menu of premium cut meats, matured meats, and also classic dishes. There is also Neptunos for lunches and dinners by the pool, with fish and seafood specialties.
