The entertainment and stalls set up in Avenida Arriaga appear in the eighth position of a list of 20 markets, from several countries. Madeira is even the Sunniest Christmas Market in Europe.

The list is the result of the votes of the Europeans. In the case of Madeira, a spotlight is shone on the fact that the market presents a great variety of products on display plus a welcoming environment.

The European Best Destinations travel portal also highlights that Madeira is the safest Christmas destination in Europe, in the post-Covid-19 era. The island is also the best winter sun destination.
