Golf Days 2017
Keeping the tradition of starting the Golf Days circuit at Montebelo, Nevada Bob’s Golf Portugal sponsored, on the spotless Caramulo course the first tournament of the year, entitled Calvin Klein Golf Days, with some seventy players participating. For the first time in the five year history of the circuit the gross winner was a lady. The accomplishment was attained by Sofia Barroso Sá (handicap EGA 7,4), representing Quinta do Peru, who had a clear win after turning in a card with 31 points. She was followed by Luis Abreu, from the CG Professores de Educação Fisica (six points behind her), and Bruno Melo and Julio da Cal (seven). In Men Net, A category (average handicap of players) the winner was Luis Abreu (39 points), followed by Luis Castro Fernandes, from Citynorte (36). B category was won by Miguel Augusto Costa, from the CG Viseu, followed by Luis Filipe Jorge, from CG EDP. Ladies was won by a Montebelo player, Carla Lunet. Longest drives went to Elisabete Pinto and Bruno Melo, who also got closest to the pin, on the 12th hole. A spectacular raffle closed this first tournament, where 300 euro were raised for the Refugio Amboim Ascensão. The circuit will continue with the Titleist tournament at the Estoril (May 13th), the Golfino at Quinta da Ria (June 24th), Taylor Made at Vale de Lobo (July 15th), Callaway at the D. Pedro Old Course (August 4th), Wilson Staff at Bom Sucesso (September 16th) and closing with the MSC Cruzeiros at Oitavos Dunes (October 15th).
Mantendo a tradição de iniciar o Circuito Golf Days no Montebelo Golfe, a Nevada Bob´s Golf Portugal, realizou em março no impecável percurso Caramulo a 1ª prova do corrente ano, com a presença de cerca de sete dezenas de concorrentes, denominada Calvin Klein Golf Days. Pela 1ª vez nestes cinco anos em que se realiza este circuito, foi uma jogadora a vencer a prova em Gross. A proeza pertenceu à jovem Sofia Barroso de Sá (hand. Ega 7,4) que representa a Quinta do Perú, que venceu destacadamente ao apresentar um cartão com 31 pontos. O segundo classificado Gross, Luís Abreu do CG Professores de Educação Física ficou a 6 pontos e Bruno Melo e Júlio da Cal a 7. Na Categoria A Homens Net (média de handicaps dos jogadores inscritos), o mesmo Luis Abreu venceu com 39 pontos seguido de Luis Castro Fernandes da Citynorte no segundo lugar com 36 pontos. Relativamente à Categoria B Homens Net a vitória sorriu a Miguel Augusto Costa (CG Viseu) seguido de Luis Filipe Jorge (CG EDP). Nas Senhoras o primeiro lugar do pódio foi para uma jogadora da casa, Carla Lunet. As pancadas mais longas foram da Elisabete Pinto e Bruno Melo que também teve a pancada mais certeira (Nearest the Pin) no buraco 12. A espetacular tômbola encerrou esta 1ª prova, que contabilizou trezentos euros de apoio solidário para o Refugio Aboim Ascensão. O circuito irá prosseguir com a prova Titleist a 13 de maio no Estoril, Golfino na Quinta da Ria a 24 de junho, Taylor Made no Vale de Lobo a 15 de julho, Callaway no D. Pedro Old Course a 4 de agosto, Wilson Staff no Bom Sucesso a 16 de setembro e culminando na final MSC Cruzeiros no Oitavos Dunes a 15 de outubro.
