The 9th edition of the Rangel Golf Cup, a tournament promoted by Rangel Logistics Solutions, started early in June with the playing of the first qualifying round that gathered 72 players at the Vidago Palace golf course. Amongst the players were well known Portuguese faces, like TV presenter Jorge Gabriel, model Ricardo Guedes, and journalist Julio Magalhães, who didn’t miss Rangel’s call, and amidst moments of good fun and some competitiveness gave their best on the green, always in search of the sought after place in the great final. Jorge gabril, who has been playing this tournament for the last five years stressed the quality of the tournament and the professionalism of the organization. “The quality is such that the only way to better it would be to put international pros playing with us,” he said. Julio Magalães, who only misses the tournament when his agenda absolutely blocks it, says the Rangel Golf Cup gathers what he always sought in golf: friendship and competition. At the prize awarding ceremony, that took place during the con-fraternization lunch, Nuno Rangel, CEO of Rangel, again stressed the three pillars on which the Rangel Golf Cup bases itself – passion, conviviality and retribution. “During this tournament we return all the attention, friendship and dedication that our clients, partners and friends have with Rangel throughout the year. We always want to organize the best tournament possible and believe it, it is your satisfaction that makes us continue and want to do better every time,”,stated Nuno Rangel. On a very competitive morning, the sun helped, and conviviality between players was the dominant note of the stage, that consecrated João Paulo Baltasar as the great winner with 62 strokes Net. “I am obviously happy for winning and for being able to play at the final, but the great motivation of this tournament is conviviality and the friendship that gathers all the players,” said the winner, after which he stressed the “excellent organization of the tournament,” and the way in which this influences the game. The second qualifying stage of the tournament, recognized by the FPG, is to take place on July 8th, at the Praya d’El Rey, in Obidos, with the final scheduled to take place on July 22nd at the Pestana Vila Sol, in the Algarve. Each qualifying stage includes 72 players, of which the first 10 places Net and the 3 first Gross qualify for the final of the 2017 Rangel Golf Cup, where 72 players will gather to play for the title.

A9ª edição do Rangel Golf Cup, torneio dinamizado pela Rangel Logistics Solutions, arrancou no início de junho com a realização da 1ª etapa qualificativa que juntou 72 jogadores da modalidade no Vidago Palace Golf Course. Entre os participantes estavam rostos bem conhecidos dos portugueses, como o apresentador Jorge Gabriel, o modelo Ricardo Guedes e o jornalista Júlio Magalhães, que não faltaram à chamada da Rangel e, entre momentos de boa-disposição e alguma rivalidade, deram o seu máximo no green, sempre em busca do tão desejado lugar na grande final. Jorge Gabriel, que participa neste torneio há já 5 anos, destacou a qualidade da prova e a organização “impecável”, “A qualidade é tanta, que só se pusessem profissionais internacionais a jogar connosco é que se conseguiriam superar”, sustentou. Já Júlio Magalhães, que só perde a competição quando a agenda não lhe permite participar, diz que o Rangel Golf Cup consegue juntar tudo aquilo que o atrai no golfe: amizade e competição. Na cerimónia de entrega dos prémios, que decorreu durante o almoço de confraternização, Nuno Rangel, CEO da Rangel, voltou a enfatizar os três pilares em que o Rangel Golf Cup assenta - paixão, convívio e retribuição. “Retribuímos, durante este torneio, toda a atenção, amizade e dedicação que os nossos clientes, parceiros e amigos têm com a Rangel durante todo o ano. Queremos sempre organizar o melhor torneio possível e, acreditem, que é a vossa satisfação que nos faz continuar e querer fazer cada vez melhor”, referiu Nuno Rangel. Numa manhã muito disputada, o sol ajudou à festa e o convívio entre os participantes foi mesmo a nota dominante de toda a etapa, que consagrou João Paulo Baltazar como grande vencedor com 62 pancadas net. “Obviamente que estou feliz por ganhar e por poder disputar a final, mas a grande motivação deste torneio é o convívio e a amizade que une todos os jogadores”, assegurou o vencedor, não sem antes salientar “a excelente organização do torneio” e a forma como esta influencia o jogo. A 2ª etapa qualificativa deste torneio, homologado pela FPG, terá lugar dia 8 de julho no Praia d’El Rey, em Óbidos, sendo que a final está marcada para 22 de julho, no Pestana Vila Sol, no Algarve. Cada etapa de qualificação conta com a presença de 72 jogadores, dos quais os 10 primeiros qualificados Net e os 3 primeiros qualificados Gross serão apurados para a final do Rangel Golf Cup 2017, onde estarão reunidos 72 golfistas a disputar o título de vencedor.
