Lanceiros 2 - Driving-range

The Lancers Regiment No. 2 inaugurated the ‘Lanceiros 2 Driving-range” in Amadora in early September to provide an introduction to golf for military personnel and civil servants. The opening was attended by the local mayor and local press. The driving-range has the potential to introduce to the local youth another sport. Motivated by the success achieved, small competitions are already scheduled, which, in addition to contributing to cementing the bonds of cohesion and camaraderie between the Lanceiros 2 family, contribute to the dynamism of the sport. It is important to remember that for the success of this journey, there was significant meritorious effort by the members of the Army Golf Club, that voluntarily joined in this initiative, giving all those who had the opportunity to participate a pleasant afternoon. O Regimento de Lanceiros N.º 2 inaugurou o “Bate bolas Lanceiros 2”, na Amadora, no início de setembro, com vista a proporcionar aos militares e funcionários civis um primeiro contacto com o golfe. A iniciativa foi observada pela autarca local e a imprensa da região, sendo reconhecida pelo potencial para mostrar aos jovens amadorenses outras modalidades desportivas. Motivados pelo sucesso obtido, estão já ser programadas pequenas competições que, seguramente, além de contribuir para cimentar os laços de coesão e de camaradagem entre a família lanceira, contribuem para dinamizar a modalidade. Importa não esquecer que para o sucesso desta jornada, foi significativo o esforço meritório dos membros do Clube de Golfe do Exército que voluntariamente se associaram a esta iniciativa, proporcionando a todos os que tiveram ensejo de nela participar, uma tarde agradável.
